In 'Cosmic Love' the lightbulb at the beginning of the song flashes in time with the beat of the heartbeat heard throughout the song. This is carried out with the flashes in her eyes after the 'star landed in her eye' (idea taken from the lyric "A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyesI screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind"). The narrative for this song is almost certainly about falling in love. And the interpretations could read from the lyrics that they've either been left/hurt or simply describing the feeling of love in a metaphoric way "in the shadow of his heart." With the video in general has many stylistic techniques from the use of colours/coloured lighting and also editing. Another simple technique they have amde use of alongside the many little star-like lights and other things, they have used mirrors to distort the way we see the shot instead of simple seeing Florence laying surrounded by lights lip synching. One thing I like about the whole look of the video is how Florence has lights under her dress. It isn't something that you would see in a usual video. Which is another example of Florence's individuality shining through.
